Saint John Reflections — Photography by Andrew Miller

Recently, Krista has been delighted to see amazing photos of Saint John popping up in her feed. Earlier in January, she reached out to Andrew Miller to compliment him on his extraordinary photos and ask permission to share some of them here on the community portal.

Not only are Andrew’s pictures breathtaking, so are the descriptions that he posts with them. Proud to be a lifelong advocate of Saint John, it’s easy to see this reflected in what he shares – visually and verbally.

From January 21, 2026:

Some pieces of a city carry more than stone and copper they carry spirit.

This Golden Dome once crowned the old General Hospital, standing witness to countless moments of fear, relief, heartbreak, and healing. When the building fell in the 1995 implosion, this dome endured. Not by accident, but by intention. Chosen to remain. Chosen to matter.

Re-erected as the Millennium Dome at Garden and Station Streets in May of 2000. It now also preserves a time capsule but its real purpose is reminding us that even when everything around us changes, what truly matters doesn’t have to disappear. We can honour where we’ve been while still imagining where we’re going.

In the quiet of winter, framed by snow and sky, it feels like a promise: that memory has value, that care leaves an imprint, and that hope can be carried forward if we decide it’s worth saving.

If you love Saint John, I’d highly recommend following Andrew on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/AndrewJosephMiller

  • Krista has worked for Country 94 since Jan 2015 and is currently your host for the LIVE ON THE DRIVE with Krista, Monday through Friday 3-6 pm. What does Krista love about country music? EVERYTHING! She loves interviewing artists like Dean Brody, Tim Hicks, Lindsay Ell, going to concerts and dancing in the control booth on King St.

If you ask Krista her ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE thing, though, about country radio, the answer is the connection with you, the listener. The friendships made over the years with our listeners is second to none.
