The Saint John Regional Chamber of Commerce handed out its Outstanding Business Awards at the Delta On Thursday evening.
Chamber CEO David Duplisea was asked how important these awards are for the business community.
Duplisea says “It is important to get those success stories out into the public domain because successful entrepreneurs will encourage other people to start businesses, will encourage other businesses to strive for excellence.”
The Young Entrepreneur Award went to Justin Barry of Ad-Just Lawn Maintenance who started mowing lawns in Grade 5 and realized this venture had a real future.
” I was dead set on being a lawyer and accountant and just kind of really ramped it up once I graduated, finding something you enjoy doing versus something you have to wake up and push yourself to go to work every day is a completely different ball game, stated Barry.
