Saint John warns of parking text message scam

Saint John residents are being warned about another text message scam making the rounds.

People are being sent texts saying they must pay an overdue parking ticket by clicking a link.

City officials said they do not notify the public of fines through texting or social media.

You will either get a ticket on your vehicle or a late notice mailed to you if you are the registered owner.

If you receive any messages like this, report them to your cell phone provider and delete them.
