Sask. Senator Removed From Conservative Caucus

Conservative leader Erin O’Toole has removed a Saskatchewan Senator who was calling for his job.

Denise Batters was petitioning for a leadership review, accusing Erin O’Toole of flip-flopping on issues like carbon pricing, guns and abortion.

In a release issued Tuesday night, O’Toole said he will not tolerate an individual discrediting and showing a clear lack of respect toward the Conservative caucus.

Batters took to social media, calling O’Toole weak, noting her release from Caucus came through a voicemail.

She is still encouraging Conservatives to sign the petition.

Batters will remain in the Red Chamber as an independent.
