Hampton’s Jim Boyd is one of the artists and his new creation will be going to the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield.
“They have received a sculpture since the first symposium. They have embraced the event and we plan to do five symposiums so they hope to get one in 2020 also.” Boyd says.
Boyd tells us he comes into these events with some ideas and rough sketches.
“We work with rough shape stone and odd-shaped stone so we have to be a little flexible to develop our idea to fit the stone.”
The other sculptors taking part this year include Oliver Harwood who lives in Vancouver but grew up in New Brunswick.
