A Saint John Sea Dog has hit the big time.
The Boston Bruins have signed defenceman 18-year-old Jakub Zboril to a three-year entry-level contract. He was the team’s first pick in the 2015 NHL draft.
Zboril, who is from the Czech Republic originally, has achieved 13 goals and 20 assists for a total of 33 points in 44 games last year in his season with the Sea Dogs.
In five playoff games he also had a goal and three points.
