Seadogs Thrill Fans in Their Home-Opener

Alexandre Leduc is the name on the lips of hockey fans who were at Harbour Station last night. With 2.5 second left in over-time, he roofed a shot blocker side to lift the Seadogs over Cape Breton 5-4 and send over 4800 fans home with a smile. Dogs Head Coach Gerard Gallant tells CHSJ News, this is a huge win after letting a two goal lead slip away in the second period.

Cape Breton out-shot Saint John 47-33 and led the game 4-3 with just over ten minutes left in the final frame. The Seadogs improve to 3-0 and will try to keep their perfect record in tact this (Sunday) afternoon when they play host to Halifax. Game time is four o’clock.
