Second World War Vet Asks To Receive Cards For 100th Birthday

A Second World War veteran is celebrating his 100th birthday this year and has a specific birthday wish — he wants to receive 100 birthday cards.

Fred Arsenault lives in Toronto. His son recently posted a photo on Facebook of his father holding a sign.

It says he is about to turn 100 years old on March 6, and it includes an address where cards can be sent.

The post has been shared by Toronto Mayor John Tory and the Royal Canadian Legion.

During the Second World War, Arsenault served with the Cape Breton Highlanders.
