Rotating strikes by Canada Post workers could come to an end as early as Tuesday.
Senators are expected to resume debate on back-to-work legislation on Monday afternoon.
Bill C-89 completed first and second reading, as well as Committee of the Whole, during a rare Saturday sitting.
Senators were expected to sit again on Sunday but decided to take an extra day to consider the witness testimony and ensure the proposed legislation complies with the charter.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has condemned the back-to-work legislation as a violation of fundamental workers rights.
But Federal Labour Minister Patty Hajdu has defended the government’s decision, saying the parties are not interested in voluntary arbitration.
The bill would go into effect at noon eastern time the day after it receives royal assent.
