Red will be the colour of choice today, as city takes time to reflect.
It is the one year anniversary, of the tragic shooting deaths of three RCMP officers, and the injuries of two others in a frightening incident that paralysed Moncton’s northwest end for almost two days.
Several ceremonies will be held in an effort to bring even more closure.
At noon today, The design of a memorial monument will be unveiled….with the artist on hand to explain the piece of work. It will be constructed in Riverfront Park in honour of Constables Doug Larche, Dave Ross and Fabrice Gevauden.
That happens at City Hall at noon today.
Tonight, thousands are expected to gather on the Magnetic Hill Concert site for a special commemorative RCMP Musical ride performance. Parking will be available at Magic Mountain and the Magnetic Hill Zoo.
The RCMP Musical Ride gets underway at 7pm.
