Several road closures in Saint John starting Monday

A couple of traffic notes to be aware of in Saint John.

Work begins Monday at the McAllister Drive and Westmorland Road intersection.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction for the next roughly 45 days.

“This closure is necessary to upgrade the traffic signal system, storm water infrastructure and sidewalks,” the city said in a news release.

Ashburn Lake Road will also be fully closed near Rothesay Avenue starting Monday.

That closure is expected to last until Sept. 15.

Meanwhile, there will be a full 20-minute closure of the Saint John Harbour Bridge for jacking operations.

It will take place sometime between 6 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
