Short Outage Impacts 4,800 Customers

A brief power outage involving 4,800 Saint John Energy customers impacting the uptown core about 1:45 this afternoon.

The lights were back on just after 2 p.m.

Saint John Energy tells us the cause was a transformer issue at the Union Street substation that cut supply coming from two substations on Crown Street and Union Street.
