Shots Fired At Vehicle Fleeing Home: Police

Saint John police are investigating after shots were fired outside a home on the east side on Thursday night.

Police said they responded to reports of an altercation at a residence in the 1000 block of Rothesay Road around 10:30 p.m.

They said shots were allegedly fired at a vehicle fleeing the home but no one was hurt.

Officers from the Emergency Tactical Services team evacuated the home and searched for suspects.

“Currently, no one is in custody. The Major Crime Unit is investigating what is believed to be an isolated incident,” police said in a news release Friday morning.
