In any given year, 20 per cent of us will have experienced a mental health or addiction problem. By the time we reach the age of 40, half of us will have or have had a mental illness.
The Executive Director of the Canadian Mental Health Association in New Brunswick, Christa Baldwin says there are ways to cope and you can start by slowing down, not feel the need to be multi-tasking all the time, get back to exercise, engage in meaningful conversations and generally do what you enjoy.
Canadians in the lowest income group are 3 to 4 times more likely than those in the highest income group to report poor to fair mental health.
