Small Fire Containted At Port Saint John

No injuries have been reported after a small fire on the west side of Port Saint John.

Port officials say a fire broke out Thursday morning in a container handling vehicle at the DP World terminal.

“The incident was confined to the piece of equipment,” the port said in a Facebook post shortly after 9:30 a.m.

Port Saint John activated its emergency response plan to help the Saint John Fire Department and DP World where needed.
