Smoke And Flames Come From Fire On Spring Street

Flames and smoke coming from a North end building just before 430 this morning.

Division Chief Mark Wilson tells CHSJ News crews responded to the scene and about 10 minutes into fighting the blaze everyone was pulled out.

He says all personnel was asked to leave because of the heavy fire in the top floor and roof area.

Wilson says tenants were able to get out of the building and some cats.

It took about four and a half hours for the blaze to be put out.

Fire investigators are looking into the cause.
