Snowmobile Crash In The Welsford Area

One man was taken to the hospital after a weekend snowmobile crash along a trail in the Welsford area.

Fire officials said it happened next to Highway 7 between kilometre markers 71 and 72 around 1:40 p.m. Sunday.

Glenn Rich, deputy chief of the Welsford Volunteer Fire Department, said it appears the driver hit a bump and flew off the machine.

Rich said the victim was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The RCMP are looking into the cause of the crash, he said.
