Soccer NB Hopes More Talented NB Players Will Get Noticed

The recent recruitment of a 13 year old New Brunswick soccer player, to go to the Montreal Impact Academy is hopefully just the beginning, that according to the Executive Director of Soccer New Brunswick.

Younes Bouida says they currently have a partnership with the Impact, with the hopes of exposing even more of their talented players, “We know that we have other players who will be invited, but we have to understand it’s not going to be an easy decision for parents to leave a 12 or 13 year old to go to Montreal. That is what it takes to get to the top level, you have to make a sacrifice.”

He says it makes them very proud, when they see promising players like Phoenix Roberts, “When we have players that are 12 or 13 years old who can join the Montreal Impact Academy and they have their technical abilities and the mental skills that are required at the level, it is really great to see. This news makes everyone dream, to want to be the next one.”
