Saint John Fire crews had to deal with a blaze at two vacant wooden frame buildings on Charlotte Street last night.
The call came in around 7:30 that heavy smoke was coming from 289-291 Charlotte Street. Upon arrival the crews quickly attacked the fire and managed to stop it from spreading to any adjacent buildings.
There was an evacuation of nearby buildings as a precaution.
After a search it was determined the fire was suspicious in nature and the cause is under investigation.
