St. Andrews Will Have Biggest St. Patrick’s Day Parade In Southwest NB

Save your green for Sunday at the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in South-West New Brunswick.

Organizer Matthew Gick says everyone taking part in the parade will meet at the St. Andrews Legion at 1:30pm , and the parade will begin at 2pm.

“Always looking for more float entries. This will be our 5th year. Animals are part of the key, not only because it’s a fundraiser for the Charlotte County SPCA, but because they also make a larger crowd.”

Gick says members of the Irish Brigade, civil war reenactors from the Sussex area, will be there as well. He says they make a nice twist on the parade that really gets everyone in the spirit of things.

He says the fundraiser will continue following the parade at the Red Herring, with facepainting by donation and live music.

If you would like to take part in the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, or enter a float in the parade, you can check out the “Annual St. Andrews St. Patrick’s Day Parade” Facebook page, or call Matthew Gick at 506-465-9506.
