The Oath of Office ceremony and first St. Stephen town council meeting will be held tonight.
Mayor-elect Allan McEachern tells us his favorite thing about Bordertown is the sense of community, “I like knowing everyone, and I like everyone knowing me. You walk into a store and everyone knows each other. I like that, the small town feel. And it’s just a good town.”
McEachern says he wants to make property management a priority, and take better care of infrastructure, along with keeping council informed, and supporting Future St. Stephen.
McEachern and the new Town Council will be sworn in at the Garcelon Civic Center, at 7pm.

St. Andrews By-the-Sea also welcoming in their new Council.
Mayor-elect Doug Naish will take the Oath of Office, as well as councillors Edie Bishop, Daniel Boyd, Guy Groulx, Kurt Gumushel, Andrew Harrison, and Brad Henderson.
The ceremony will begin at 7pm, at the WC O’Neill Arena Theatre.
