State funeral held for former N.D.P. leader, Broadbent

Former NDP leader, Ed Broadbent has been laid to rest.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and current NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh were among those who attended a state funeral for him in Ottawa yesterday.

Broadbent died January 11th at age 87.

He served in the House of Commons for nearly 24 years, led the NDP for 14 years and launched the Broadbent Institute, a policy think-tank.
