Storm Wrap Up From Tuesday

Environment Canada was right on the money with its storm precipitation projections on Tuesday.

The Saint John area received 10 cm of snow or ice pellets and a total of 39.8 mm of rain.

There was some sporadic flooding in some of the usual intersections and water was pooled on highway one which prompted a warning from Gateway Operations last evening.

The Fredericton area was hard hit with 40 mm of precipitation which came mostly as freezing rain before changing to rain late in the day making driving conditions in the capital city treacherous.

St. Stephen had 46. 6 mm of rainfall on Tuesday.

NB Power is dealing with sporadic outages this morning affecting just under 1500 people, mostly in the Kent county area.
