Study Shows Many Job Interview Candidates Are No-Shows

If you’re in the middle of a job hunt just hoping to get a call back about an interview the results of a recent survey might make you want to pull your hair out.

A survey by Express Employment Professionals asked more than 400 businesses “When you are inverviewing for your company, what percentage of job applicants are no-shows for interviews?”

The results show 17-percent of those businesses surveyed said that 15-percent or more of their interview candidates just plain don’t show up while 35-percent of the businesses said that five to 10 percent of would-be interviewees are no-shows.

Express C-E-O Bob Funk says even if you find another job before your interview it’s just good manners to call and let the company know.
