The Toronto Blue Jays have taken top spot in the AL East. The Orioles trail by half a game and the Red Sox are two games behind.
In Senior Baseball League action
The Saint John Alpines and Charlottetown Islanders split a double header yesterday. The Islanders won the first game 3-2 and the Alpines took the second game 6-1.
In the NFL
In preseason action the Seahawks edged the Chiefs 17-16, the Colts beat the Bills 19-18, the Titans took a 27-10 win over the Chargers and the Cowboys fell to the Rams 28-24.
