In the NHL: Montreal downed Anaheim 5-2, Ottawa edged Philadelphia 4-3 in a shootout, Winnipeg blanked Colorado 3-nothing, Toronto fell to Boston 4-1, Tampa Bay doubled up Vancouver 4-2, Calgary edged Chicago 4-3 in overtime, the Rangers lost to Nashville 5-2, and New Jersey downed Pittsburgh 3-1.
