K9 police dog Diesel tracked a person down following an attempted break and enter Sunday evening.
Saint John police say a woman home with her three children called 911 after she saw a man trying to break into her north end home.
Officers along with Diesel arrived on the scene and took down a description.
A 55-year-old man was taken into custody after Diesel found him in a wooded area.
He is facing several charges. No injuries were reported during the incident.
