Suspects sought after Saint John weapons incident

Saint John police are looking for several suspects after a weapons incident in the city’s north end.

Officers responded to reports of armed people at a Cranston Avenue residence around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Three to four men were reportedly at the location, and one was heard knocking on a door.

Police said some were armed with weapons, including what appeared to be a long gun.

While the suspects ran off before officers arrived, they did leave a vehicle behind.

No physical injuries were reported and the Major Crime Unit continues to investigate.
