There has been a rash of suspicious fires in the St. George area since May 4th.
The RCMP believe they have been started by a variety of causes, including possible misuse of fireworks.
The most serious of the 9 fires broke out on Leavitt Head Road in Back Bay May 5th after a dirt bike muffler started a grass fire. This resulted in the evacuation of several homes but none of them was damaged.
