UPDATED: ‘Suspicious Object’ Turns Out To Be Sleeping Bag

Saint John police say a suspicious object found in a storm sewer led to the closure of a north end street Saturday afternoon.

In a news release, police said they were called to Churchill Boulevard around 3 p.m. Saturday.

“A contractor was using a camera to inspect an underground pipe. A suspicious object was found on the camera footage that appeared to be in the shape of a person,” police said in the release Sunday.
