Sussex man charged with drug trafficking

A Sussex man has been charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation by the RCMP.

Police said they began an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs in the Sussex region in April.

Officers searched a home on St. George Street on Thursday and arrested a man at the scene.

They also seized suspected crystal meth, ICE pills, cocaine and various prescription pills, as well as drug paraphernalia, four cell phones, a rifle and ammunition.

A 24-year-old has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He was remanded into custody following a court appearance on Friday and is scheduled to see a judge again on June 26.

More details can be found on the New Brunswick RCMP’s website.
