The old Sears contact centre space is being re-purposed with new workers for a company called S&P Data.
The company is creating a business services sector in Loch Lomond Place where 160 people have already been hired.
S&P Data is getting $3 million dollars in payroll rebates from Opportunities New Brunswick.

Premier Brian Gallant was asked if he thinks this company will stick around longer than the last one.
“When it comes to Sears, its very important to note that, yeah, it didn’t work out but, since then we have had many of these announcements work out,”
Gallant says “in fact, here at S&P Data we’ve had an acceleration of the employment levels that they have commited.”

S&P Data President Brian Cato says they are planning to a hiring frenzy over the next two months.
“We are getting 8-10 referrals per group from our currrent employees so we’re excited. Excited about where we are and where we are going”.

Cato says the workers are handling customer inquiries and he says the calls are coming from Ontario, the U.S. and Canada.
The company is hosting a job fair next Wednesday from 10am to 4pm at the centre in Loch Lomond Place.
