Teaching Parents About Risky Behaviour and Consent

Staying safe on social media and with smartphones and other devices.

That’s the subject of the presentation at Saint John High tonight called “Consent and Risky Behaviour”.

It’s a presentation of the parent school support committee at Saint John High featuring Crown Prosecutor Shara Munn and Constable Duane Squires.

Constable Squires says it’s about opening a discussion with your kids about pictures and where they may end up.

“It’s about having them think about doing something rather than being impulsive and sending images in a provacative manner to people they think they trust. It’s about risky behaviours and things that could get them in trouble.” Squires said.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Saint John High and the doors open at 6 p.m.
