The heat warnings have ended for New Brunswick which has finally cooled off after a sweltering week.
Nine areas of the province saw temperature records shattered including Woodstock that broke a more than 130-year-old heat record. On Thursday, Woodstock broke the old record of 33.9 degrees that was set in 1887 with a temperature of 34 degrees.
St. Stephen broke the old 1912 record of 33.3-degrees with a temperature of 35.
Fredericton’s old record was 33.3-degrees which was set in 1919 and that was broken with a recorded temperature of 34.6.
