An East side duplex suffering some fire damage following an upstairs fire this morning.
16 firefighters battling the blaze at 645 Michael Crescent.
Platoon Chief Eric Garland says crews arrived and knocked down the fire and four people were able to get out safely.
He says the people living there have some exotic pets so the fire department is assisting them to see how the reptiles are doing and if they need to be moved.
Garland says the duplex on the other side was not damaged.
No word yet on the cause of the fire.
