The Town of Rockport, Texas has been wiped off the map after taking a direct hit from Hurricane Harvey. The Category 4 monster storm made landfall late Friday night with winds of 215 kmh and a three metre storm surge. When daylight came on Saturday it appeared every building, includings homes and businesses, suffered damage from the storm. At least two people are known to be dead from Harvey, whose remnants will continue to pound the region with up to a metre of rain over the next several days, leading to catastrophic flooding and fears of a higher death toll.
