Lots of viewing parties broke out in various parts of the uptown as people tried to find the best spot to see the ships.

Katie Bowden of the Festival of Sail has advice for everyone coming to check out the event
She tells us they expect a lot of people and there will be line up to get on to the apron at the port where there will be a security checkpoint.
She suggests everyone pack light.
Tomorrow is Family Pirate day with roving bands of pirates and tomorrow night there is the Music and Masts concert on the festival grounds at the Marco Polo cruise ship terminal.
