The City hiring a new CEO for the Transit and Parking Commissions.

Following a search for candidates that extended across the country, Ian MacKinnon of Rothesay got the job.

MacKinnon most recently worked with Cirrus9, a Saint John operator of multiple data centres, where he was the Chief Security Officer.

He has also worked with JD Irving and previously with the City as Director of Information Technology up until 2010.

He says he’s hoping to bring his IT experience to the transit and parking commissions to maximize efficiencies and improve services for all Saint Johners.
