The District Education Council passing a motion to have the Department of Education begin a search for land on the west side for new school replacing Seawood, Havelock and St. Patrick’s schools.
Anglophone South Superintendent Zoe Watson expects the Province will begin work right away.
She says when tonight’s motion is communicated to the office of the Minister of Education that work will begin quickly on acquiring some land for the new school.
The DEC is recommending to Fredericton that the new school be built to accomodate 450 students and be centrally located.
