The news of more than 400 job losses at PotashCorp has had more than a week to sink in, the sting subsides a bit with a job fair hosted by JD Irving in Sussex tomorrow.
Joel Richardson of the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters agrees it will no doubt impact the provincial budget with PotashCorp bringing in 18 million in revenue.
He says the money would have gone to pay for healthcare and education so now the provincial government has to find that money somewhere else.
The JD Irving job fair tomorrow is being held at the All Seasons Hotel.
The company expects to hire 7900 people over the next 3 years mainly in the Atlantic provinces.
