Executive Director of the Sea Dogs Foundation Tom Donovan says it costs around $130-thousand dollars to put the event on.
He says it’s very exciting looking with a full stage and it looks almost identical to the NHL draft.
Donovan says the draft will also coincide with the annual general meetings with the league and its teams.
Roughly 500 prospects and their families will be here in Saint John for the draft.
