The Red Mile To Be Run In Honour Of Constable Doug Larche

Runners, volunteers and spectators will honour the fallen RCMP members at the 20th anniversary of Marathon by the Sea.

The first mile of this year’s Marathon by the Sea is being dedicated as The Red Mile in honour of Constable Doug Larche.

Pat Grannan tells us they will have the Saint John police honour guard and RCMP members to honour all three fallen officers.

He says it will especially honour Constable Larche who participated in the Marathon before and his kids took part in the children’s run.

The run begins at 8am tomorrow from Fisher Lakes at Rockwood Park. If you are running or watching you are asked to wear red.
