The Shelves Need Filling Again

People were very generous over the holidays but those supplies are running out at the Community Food Basket on Union Street.

Executive Director David McCready says they can use snacks, canned meat and cereal or cash donations.

He tells CHSJ News they have been able to purchase oranges from Baleman’s in the City market and he says just last week they bought frozen blueberries from Pennfield so they can now offer those to their clients.

McCready says cash donations are very helpful and you can find someone at the food basket at 245 Union Street on Wednesdays and Fridays unless it’s a holiday.
