This is the commotion you saw on the way home from work on Friday.
The Street Crime Unit of the City police arresting three people and seizing a loaded handgun and drugs on Douglas Avenue.
Two men were released with future court dates and a 23 year old man was held in custody until a bail hearing this week.
During this search, police were confronted by 5 men arriving at the home who knew the people arrested.
These folks had several weapons visible to police. The weapons were seized along with some drugs and cash.
All of them were arrested for several offenses including assaulting a police officer. One of them fled on foot and following a brief foot chase, officers got him too.
The men range in age from 25 to 39 years of age were eventually released from custody with future court dates.
All the people involved know each other.
