It’s a done deal.
Irving Oil is officially the owner of the Whitegate refinery in Cork, Ireland.
Now that the deal is finalized, the company assumes full ownership will maintain its existing workforce.
In a news release, the company says it is Ireland’s only refinery so it will continue to provide a secure and reliable supply to it’s existing customer base.
Irving Oil President Ian Whitcomb calls it a historic day for the company adding they are thrilled to welcome new members to the team, to serve new custmers and to grow to the business across the Atlantic.
