Third man charged in October murder

A third person has been charged in the murder of a man in Saint John’s north end last month.

As a result of an ongoing investigation by Saint John Police, the man will face charges of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm while prohibited.

The man appeared in provincial court by videoconference Wednesday to face charges.

He’s scheduled to make his next court appearance on Dec. 1.

According to police, he’s a federal inmate who was unlawfully at large at the time of the murder.

Two other men have been charged in relation to the incident that occurred Oct. 20 in the area of Taylor Avenue.

They’re both facing charges of first-degree murder.
