If you have a child heading off to college soon who may be getting their own place for the first time, a new website from the province could be helpful.
The Residential Tenancies Tribunal has launched a new website to help inform student and first-time renters of their rights and responsibilities.

The new site has tips for those who are new renters and information relating to late rent payments, evictions, security deposits and lease agreements.
It also explains a tenants responsibility where cleanliness, repairs, and health and safety standards are concerned and it provides information for landlords.
The tribunal administers the Residential Tenancies Act which details the rights and obligations of landlords and tenants and the enforcement process.
