UPDATED: Provincial Power Outages Decline

Crews made progress restoring power in Southern New Brunswick.

High winds and heavy rain left thousands without electricity on Friday.

By mid-afternoon the situation improved with many getting their power back.

As of 6:25 p.m. Friday. 712 customers remained off the grid.

In the Kennebecasis Valley Fundy region, just 186 homes and businesses are now impacted.

A large outage in the Moncton area is now impacting fewer than 400 customers.

Saint John Energy reported a few different outages on Friday.

Power has since been restored in each case.
