Three attempted robberies on the West side in just over 20 minutes this morning.
Just after 830, Saint John police were called to the Sobey’s on the west side for a robbery call.
A man demanding money but left the store when he didn’t get any.
At 8:55am, police responded to another attempted robbery at AJ’s restaurant on Church Avenue.
The same man tried to rob the restaurant but took off when he didn’t get any cash.
One minute later, police responded to yet another call at the No Frills in the Lancaster Mall.
He did not get any money.
Around this time, police spotted a 59 year old man in a taxi in the area. He was arrested without incident.
No weapons were used and no one was hurt in any of the attempted robberies.
