Three Saint John police officers suffered minor injuries during two separate calls on Thursday night.

Wilson said a 27-year-old man was arrested and released on a promise to appear in court.

He said another officer was assaulted when they responded to a separate call around 10 p.m. Thursday.

A 46-year-old man was arrested and later released on a promise to appear in court.

Wilson said no other details are being released at this time as the investigations are ongoing.

Impaired Drivers

Police says they also nabbed two suspected impaired drivers in less than an hour overnight.

Wilson said they got a call about a possible impaired driver leaving an uptown liquor establishment around 2:05 a.m. Friday.

He said they found the man parked along Highway 1 eastbound passed out and brought him in for a breath test.

Wilson said a woman was also brought in for a breath test after officers received a report of a vehicle in a snowbank around 2:40 a.m. Friday.
